Cosa (chi) è localization$45227$ - definizione

CONSTRUCTION OF A RING OF FRACTIONS, IN COMMUTATIVE ALGEBRA
Localization of a module; Ring of quotients; Away from 2; Localization (algebra); Localization algebra; Localization of rings and modules; Localization of a ring; Localization of a ring and a module; Localization map; Localisation (commutative algebra); Localisation of a module

Localization (commutative algebra)
In commutative algebra and algebraic geometry, localization is a formal way to introduce the "denominators" to a given ring or module. That is, it introduces a new ring/module out of an existing ring/module R, so that it consists of fractions \frac{m}{s}, such that the denominator s belongs to a given subset S of R.
Video game localization
TERM IN VIDEO GAME DEVELOPMENT
Game Localisation; Game localisation; Localization director; Game localization; Video game localisation; Localization (video games)
Video game localization is the process of preparing a video game for a market outside of where it was originally published. The game's name, art assets, packaging, manuals, and cultural and legal differences are typically altered.
Nuclear localization sequence
TYPE OF AMINO ACID SEQUENCE
Nuclear Localization sequence; Nuclear Localizer; Nuclear Localization; Nuclear localisation signal; Nuclear localisation; Nuclear-localisation signal; Nuclear-localization signal; Nuclear Localization Signal; Nuclear import; Nuclear localisation signals; Nuclear localization signal; Nuclear localisation sequence; Nuclear localization signals; PKKKRKV; Nuclear Localiser; Nuclear localiser; Nuclear localizer; Nuclear localization; Nuclear Localisation; Nuclear Localisation Signal; Nuclear-localisation sequence; Nuclear Localisation Signals; Nuclear Localization Signals; Nuclear recognition sequence; Nuclear targeting signal; Nuclear localization sequences
A nuclear localization signal or sequence (NLS) is an amino acid sequence that 'tags' a protein for import into the cell nucleus by nuclear transport. Typically, this signal consists of one or more short sequences of positively charged lysines or arginines exposed on the protein surface.

Localization (commutative algebra)

In commutative algebra and algebraic geometry, localization is a formal way to introduce the "denominators" to a given ring or module. That is, it introduces a new ring/module out of an existing ring/module R, so that it consists of fractions m s , {\displaystyle {\frac {m}{s}},} such that the denominator s belongs to a given subset S of R. If S is the set of the non-zero elements of an integral domain, then the localization is the field of fractions: this case generalizes the construction of the field Q {\displaystyle \mathbb {Q} } of rational numbers from the ring Z {\displaystyle \mathbb {Z} } of integers.

The technique has become fundamental, particularly in algebraic geometry, as it provides a natural link to sheaf theory. In fact, the term localization originated in algebraic geometry: if R is a ring of functions defined on some geometric object (algebraic variety) V, and one wants to study this variety "locally" near a point p, then one considers the set S of all functions that are not zero at p and localizes R with respect to S. The resulting ring S 1 R {\displaystyle S^{-1}R} contains information about the behavior of V near p, and excludes information that is not "local", such as the zeros of functions that are outside V (c.f. the example given at local ring).
